Which is the form of perfection? what is its smell or its dimension?
I believe that an artwork elevates to a common identification of perfection, not when everybody loves it with no distinction, but when its uniqueness, detail care, feelings and an artist’s project are recognizable and transpire from his work.
I was impressed by the words of a famous Italian nose who, during an afternoon training, while he was sharing its knowledge, told me that both Lily-of the Valley and Lilac’s essences cannot be captured from the original flower, since it does not matter what extraction’s process is undertaken, their smell will deteriorate.
And yet, in many fragrances the Lily-of-the-Valley note is mentioned and some of them state Lilac in their pyramids. The smell of these two flowers is always chemically reproduced. Only in a few and isolated cases, the combination of some natural odorous molecules, provides a convincing compound, that approximates the natural smell of the two flowers.
A perfume that, in my opinion, leaves you speechless in front of the precision and beauty with which its creator has remained so faithful to the flower found in nature as to deceive even the sense of smell: LILAC by Roja Dove.
A fragrance that stands out from all the others, thanks to a complex, structured and harmonious combination of natural raw materials that match to recreate the fragrance of lilacs.
The brilliant genius of this sensitive and eclectic person, who has been inspired by his memories and feelings in the composition of this extrait, has created an imaginary flower that is more beautiful, fresh, vibrant than what Mother Nature is able to do.
“Living in a beautiful and luxuriant land, like Britain, where unfortunately the sky is often gray, the first sun of May seals the transition to spring with the blooming of the lilacs. To announce the promise of the incoming sunny days and the summer warmth, that first glimmer of light is represented and guarded in the heart of the fragrance through a vibrant hint of jasmine, whose gentle presence is revealed on tiptoe, like a discreet messenger, like a whispered word“.
This perfume, that is part of a prestigious and valuable selection of extraits, represents a real artwork. Beyond any personal taste, independently if the scent of lilacs is loved or not, worth to admire the uniqueness of this fragrance in which nothing, really nothing is left to chance: the shining beauty of the flower, the freshness of green foliage, the wake of a milky-just cut stem. Each trace, perception, facet is part of three-dimensional and tangible emotion. Closing my eyes, the flower becomes real, it materializes as a hologram, more vivid and real than its presence, in my hands, could ever be.
The Extraits Collection, consists of seven fragrances whose components have no comparisons, drawing exclusively to excellent raw materials. Each beautiful Roja Dove’s creation, is motivated by a deep-rooted passion for the original Perfumery. Not surprisingly Roja’s perfumes are mostly made in Perfume Extrait and just a small part of them is also available as Eau de Parfum.
From the refined hand-made glass bottles, to the golden cups embellished with Swarovski crystal compositions, to their packaging, everything is just an example of incredible elegance and attention that you can also find in the temple of niche perfume that Roja Dove created on the sixth and highest floor of Harrods’ Building in London. Symbolic map of an Olympus housing the most prestigious essences of all the time, in a harmonious place of sophistication and splendor, grace and elegance.
