For Spyros Drosopoulos, young independent nose also founder and owner of niche perfume house BARUTI, fragrance creation represents a pure and total synesthesia of senses. His fragrances live in abstract and onyric dimensions, where emotions that arise from a painting or a song or from a personal feeling are extrapolated from visual and auditory impressions, isolated from tactile and gustatory sensations and reworked into a single, overwhelming olfactory experience.

Tindrer, a fragrance launched in 2016, comes to life over the notes of a musical performance and draws its inspiration from the omonimus song from the Danish band Under Byen.

Maybe the translation is not the most faithful one (from Danish) but I find myself inhaling captured the fragrant transposition of Tindrer, while, with my eyes closed, I am cradled by a nostalgic melody and by an almost whispered elven voice in sharp contrast with the intense and dramatic message carried by the text.

Tindrer, “Sparkle” in Danish, is a fragrance that surprises and conquers thanks to a contrast between dynamic and fragile notes, luxuriant and vibrant in the opening, intimate and romantic on the skin. A creation about love and loss, about the intense splendor arising from a passion when it is at its apogee and of the tender and nostalgic feeling that its remembrance evokes, protected among the pages of our memory through a beauty that, despite left behind, will always survive.

Wet and green notes translate the image of a soft meadow of wild flowers sprinked with fresh dew drops. Tindrer starts intense through a crystalline and pure brilliance of verbena, with a lymphatic touch of galbanum and cassie absolute to enliven the emerald green heart of the fragrance where a sharp, almost spicy touch of Buchu meets fir balm absolute strenghtening the minty-aromatic perception of cut grass, twigs and sprouts. A special violet accord creates the bridge with a soft, silky, earthy and powdery base of white musks, ambergris, heliotrope and oakmoss, inspiring a carefree sensation of a barefoot walk on a soft turf surrounded by the radiant light of an early spring day.

In the harmonious interweaving of fragrant and musical notes, I am reminded of the verses of a poem by William Wordsworth
