An inspiration takes shape gentle and transparent as a dream and slowly condenses in a drop of perfume, in an olfactory refraction charming as a rainbow or a mirage, but so vivid as to materialize on the skin.

Tola, the famous brand of selective perfumery founded in Dubai in 2010, presents the ninth fragrance of a collection that leads us into an olfactory journey through the legends, the history and the culture of an ancient land. Its name is Kaif, an Arabic term that translates the word “how” and refers to a mood, a perception or to a person who is spontaneously creative.

Kaif, is an intimate and delicate fragrance, gentle and ethereal but persistent as the idea that crosses the mind and pervades it, to emerge and evolve. The Iris, a raw material that has become the subject of several different interpretations in recent years, is portrayed with care and sensibility by the artistic director and founder of the brand Dhaher Bin Dhaher. From the roots, sunken in mythology and in earth, to colorful petals, the plant draws its name from the Greek goddess of the rainbow and is associated with various symbolisms, such as hope, wisdom, intuition, creativity, trust and sincerity.

An Eau de Parfum that completely differs from the previous creations of the collection while preserving, in its uniqueness, the olfactory signature of the brand Tola thanks to its oriental and mysterious allure written in the shades of amber and cypriol (an herbaceous plant of the papyrus family whose essence is distilled from the roots).

The composition explores the many facets of the flower, retracing its complex olfactory palette guarded by the precious rhizome that retains its peculiar earthy, vegetal, floral, woody and powdery smell.

Kaif opens in the bright aromatic-fruity accord of bergamot and mandarin, enlivened by a touch of pink pepper. The rosy freshness of geranium unveils the soft and delicate note of orris, nestled in a bouquet of jasmine and violet that amplifies its floral facets and powdery softness. The heart of the fragrance leans on a velvety base of precious woods, where a creamy sandalwood and a sensual amber merge in the mysterious and profound, vaguely spiced, note of cypriol that strengthens the earthy and vegetal perception of the rhizome. A touch of vanilla and musk softens the rich base accord, allowing an iridescent and extremely refined flower to envelop the skin like an impalpable veil.
