Dorin Paris is a French brand of high perfumery that has been restored and brought back to its original splendor thanks to  Bashar ed Imane Nasri. Towards the end of ’80s, the couple became passionate about the story of a prestigious house of cosmetics and perfumes, retracing, backwards two centuries, the heritage of a  prestigious Maison founded in Paris by Mademoiselle Montansier.

An innate femininity, a free and passionate spirit, a daring and determined personality: this was Marguerite Brunet, known by her stage name of Mademoiselle Montansier, a French actress, theater director and manager. Fascinating, charismatic and ambitious, able to reinvent and identity herself in many characters and roles, she embodied beauty, art and refinement. Thanks to her several talents and endowed with managerial skills, she founded Maison Dorin, a house of cosmetics, powders and fragrances that in 1780 was appointed Official Supplier of the Royal Court of Versailles. Between 1800 till the early years of 1900, the brand grew  and achieved prestigious awards and recognitions internationally.

Among the latest creations of Parfums Dorin, I’ve been charmed by Les Eaux Poudrées, a new collection of fragrances presented this year at the international exhibition of artistic perfumery Esxence. Five Muses, portrayed in pastel shades through rich and complex pyramids. Delicate and romantic, each creation exalts the beauty of a symbolic flower of the French tradition. : Lily of the Valley (Cloches de Mai), Gardenia (Gardenia Garden), Camellia (Pétales de Camélia), Rose (Rose de Bois) and Lily (Lys d’Or). The fluffy and velvety texture of the face-powder and beauty products, for which the Maison became famous, are evoked by the dusty and elegant wake of impalpable blossoms transmuted into Parfum to enfold the skin as transparent wings of the most precious chiffon.
